Mingolive Privacy Policy

Effective date: August 8, 2026

This Privacy Policy explains how Mingolive ("Mingolive," "we," "us," or "our") collects, uses, discloses, protects, retains, and deletes information when you use the Mingolive website, iOS or Android applications, live and messaging features, and related services (collectively, the "Service").

This Policy applies to the Mingolive Service, including the mobile applications. By creating an account or using the Service, you acknowledge this Policy. Where applicable law requires consent, we request it before collecting or using the relevant information. Our Terms of Use also apply.

1. Information We Collect

1.1 Account and Profile Information

When you register, sign in, complete your profile, or change account settings, we may collect:

  • name, username, email address, optional phone number, and password credentials stored in protected form;
  • birthdate, age-related status, gender, profile photo, cover photo, biography, website, work, education, hometown, current city, and social links that you choose to provide;
  • language, country, privacy preferences, notification preferences, security settings, verification status, and account-recovery information;
  • friend, follower, blocked-user, group, page, event, and other connection information; and
  • information received from a sign-in provider, such as Google, when that option is available and you choose to use it. The provider tells you what information will be shared before you authorize access.

1.2 User Content and Communications

We collect content and related metadata that you submit or create through the Service, including posts, comments, messages, reactions, reviews, stories, blogs, listings, profile information, photos, video, audio, voice recordings, files, polls, livestreams, live-chat activity, reports, block actions, and support communications. Metadata may include time, content type, audience, privacy selection, and an optional location or tag.

Content visibility depends on the audience and privacy settings you select. Public content can be seen and reshared by others. Private messages and restricted content are made available only to the intended participants and authorized service systems, except when access is required for safety, abuse investigation, security, or law.

1.3 Device, Network, and Usage Information

When you use the Service, we may automatically receive IP address, device type, operating system and version, app version, browser type, language, time zone, session identifiers, authentication tokens, push-notification subscription identifiers, referring pages, request timestamps, feature interactions, content views, ad impressions or clicks where advertising is enabled, diagnostic data, error logs, and security events.

We use cookies and similar local-storage technologies on the website to maintain sessions, remember preferences, protect accounts, measure performance, and support features. Browser controls can be used to delete or block cookies, although essential features may then stop working.

1.4 Device Permissions and Optional Data

The app requests protected device access only when relevant to a feature and after displaying the system permission prompt. Depending on the feature you choose, this may include:

  • Camera: capturing photos or video, scanning QR codes, video calls, and livestreaming;
  • Microphone: voice messages, audio recording, calls, and livestreaming;
  • Photos and media library: selecting, uploading, or saving photos, video, and audio;
  • Location: showing nearby or location-based content and attaching a location when you choose to do so;
  • Contacts: helping you find people you may know when this feature is available and you choose to enable it;
  • Bluetooth: supporting compatible audio or device connections where required; and
  • Notifications: delivering account, message, safety, live, and activity alerts.

You can deny or revoke these permissions in your device settings. Core features that do not need a denied permission remain available. Where supported, you may manually enter profile or content location information instead of granting device location access.

1.5 Purchases and Transactions

When you make a purchase, we may receive product identifiers, transaction identifiers, signed transaction or receipt data, purchase status, entitlement, price and currency information, and transaction timestamps. Apple processes iOS and iPadOS In-App Purchases. Mingolive does not receive your full Apple payment-card number. If you intentionally use another supported payment service for an eligible transaction, that provider, such as Stripe, collects payment details under its own privacy policy and shares transaction status and identifiers with us.

1.6 Reports, Safety, and Moderation Data

When you report content or block a user, we collect the reported content or account identifier, report category, explanation you provide, relevant content and interaction records, moderation decisions, and enforcement history. We use this information to investigate abuse, protect users, respond to reports, enforce our Terms, and comply with legal obligations.

1.7 AI Features

If you intentionally use a feature that generates text or images, we collect the prompt, selected options, generated result, and related usage or credit information. Selecting the generate action instructs us to process the prompt and, where needed, transmit it to an AI-processing provider solely to return the requested result. Do not include confidential or unnecessary personal information in a prompt. We do not send profile data or private content to a third-party AI service for unrelated purposes without notice and any permission required by applicable law.

2. How We Collect Information

We collect information:

  • directly from you when you register, edit your profile, create content, communicate, report, purchase, or contact support;
  • automatically from the app, browser, server logs, cookies, and security systems when you use the Service;
  • from device features only after you choose a related function and grant the relevant permission;
  • from other users when they interact with, mention, message, invite, or report you; and
  • from service providers such as sign-in, purchase, payment, push-notification, and communication providers when you use those integrations.

3. How We Use Information

We use information to:

  • create, authenticate, secure, recover, and manage accounts;
  • provide profiles, feeds, posts, messaging, calls, livestreams, groups, pages, events, marketplace, memberships, and other requested features;
  • deliver content according to your privacy settings and personalize relevant Service experiences;
  • process purchases, verify transactions, grant entitlements, maintain transaction records, and prevent payment abuse;
  • send push notifications, service announcements, support responses, and communications you request;
  • detect spam, fraud, account compromise, prohibited content, harassment, and other safety violations;
  • review reports, block abusive users, remove objectionable content, and enforce our Terms;
  • operate, troubleshoot, analyze, secure, and improve performance and accessibility;
  • comply with law, valid legal requests, and obligations to protect users and the public; and
  • send optional promotional communications where permitted. You may opt out of promotional email without losing transactional or safety messages.

We do not use your name or other collected personal information to track you across apps and websites owned by other companies. The iOS app does not request access to Apple's advertising identifier (IDFA). Mingolive does not sell personal information for money.

4. When Information Is Shared

We share information only as described below and only to the extent reasonably necessary for the relevant purpose:

  • With other users and the public: profile details, User Content, activity, and connection information are shown according to your actions and privacy settings.
  • Hosting and technical providers: infrastructure, storage, content delivery, security, logging, and technical support providers process data to operate Mingolive.
  • Notifications: OneSignal may process account identifiers, device information, push subscription identifiers, and notification interaction data to deliver push notifications.
  • Sign-in: Google processes authentication data if Google Sign-In is offered on your platform and you choose it.
  • Purchases and payments: Apple processes App Store purchases. Stripe or another disclosed payment provider may process eligible payments that you intentionally initiate outside Apple In-App Purchase where permitted.
  • Calls and live media: live and real-time communication infrastructure, including WebRTC-based providers and Agora where configured, may process IP address, device and connection data, audio, video, and live-session identifiers to establish and deliver the session.
  • Embedded and linked media: services such as YouTube or Vimeo may receive device or browser information when you choose to load their embedded content.
  • AI processing: an AI-processing provider may receive the prompt and options you intentionally submit to generate requested content.
  • Safety and law: we may disclose information when reasonably necessary to respond to valid legal process, prevent serious harm, investigate fraud or abuse, protect rights and security, or enforce our Terms.
  • Business transfer: information may be transferred as part of a merger, financing, reorganization, acquisition, or sale of the Service, subject to this Policy and applicable law.

We require service providers that process personal data for Mingolive to use it only for authorized purposes and to maintain privacy and security protections that are the same as or no less protective than those described in this Policy and required by applicable law and platform rules. Providers may have their own policies for data they process independently. Relevant provider policies include OneSignal, Apple, Google, Stripe, and Agora.

5. Advertising and Tracking

The website or supported non-Apple experiences may display advertising. Advertising providers may use cookies or similar browser technologies to measure delivery, prevent fraud, or personalize ads as permitted by your settings and applicable consent requirements. You can use browser and provider controls to manage non-essential advertising cookies.

On Apple platforms, Mingolive does not access IDFA or engage in cross-app tracking without first presenting Apple's AppTrackingTransparency request and receiving authorization. The current iOS app does not present that request and does not use collected data for tracking as Apple defines that term.

6. Legal Bases Where Required

Where a law requires a legal basis, we process information as necessary to provide the Service and perform our agreement with you, with your consent for optional permissions and certain communications, to comply with legal obligations, and for legitimate interests such as security, fraud prevention, moderation, service improvement, and protecting users, provided those interests are not overridden by your rights.

7. Retention

We retain information only for as long as reasonably necessary for the purposes described in this Policy:

  • account and profile information is generally retained while your account remains active;
  • User Content is retained until you delete it or your account, subject to content shared by others and legal or safety exceptions;
  • transaction records are retained for the period required for entitlement verification, accounting, fraud prevention, tax, and applicable law;
  • reports, block records, and moderation history are retained as needed to respond to safety complaints, prevent repeated abuse, resolve appeals, and meet legal obligations;
  • security and diagnostic logs are retained for a limited period based on operational and security needs; and
  • backup copies are overwritten through normal backup cycles and may remain temporarily after information is removed from live systems.

We may retain limited information longer when necessary for legal claims, regulatory requirements, fraud prevention, protection from harm, enforcement of bans, or a valid preservation request. When retention is no longer necessary, information is deleted, aggregated, or de-identified.

8. Your Choices and Rights

Depending on your location, you may have rights to access, correct, receive, object to or restrict processing of, or request deletion of personal information. You can exercise many choices directly:

  • edit account, profile, notification, security, location, and audience settings inside Mingolive;
  • delete individual content using its available controls;
  • change or revoke camera, microphone, photos, contacts, location, Bluetooth, and notification permissions in iOS or Android settings;
  • disconnect an external sign-in provider through the relevant connected-account and provider settings where available;
  • unsubscribe from optional promotional email using the message instructions or account settings; and
  • delete your account from Settings > General Account > Delete Account. The app displays a confirmation and any required identity verification before sending the deletion request.

You may also email admin@mingolive.com to request access, correction, deletion, consent withdrawal, or assistance. We may verify your identity before completing a request. Some information may be retained when legally required or necessary for security and abuse prevention. Withdrawing consent does not affect processing already lawfully completed.

California, European Economic Area, United Kingdom, and other regional laws may provide additional rights, including portability, objection, restriction, and the right to complain to a competent data-protection authority. Mingolive does not discriminate against users for exercising applicable privacy rights.

9. Account and Data Deletion

When a valid account-deletion request is completed, we remove or de-identify account information and User Content from active systems, except information that must be retained for transactions, legal compliance, security, dispute resolution, prevention of repeated abuse, content shared by others, or another lawful purpose. Temporary backup copies are removed through normal backup rotation.

If you cannot access your account, contact admin@mingolive.com from the email associated with it and explain that you are requesting account deletion.

10. Security

We use administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards designed to protect information, including encrypted network transport, access controls, authentication, session management, monitoring, and restricted administrative access. No system can guarantee absolute security. Protect your password, do not share authentication codes, and report suspected unauthorized access promptly.

11. International Processing

Mingolive and its providers may process information in countries other than the one where you live. Where required, we use contractual, technical, or legal safeguards intended to protect information during international transfers. Local laws in a processing country may differ from those in your country.

12. Children's Privacy

Mingolive is not directed to children under 13 and does not knowingly collect personal information from a child under 13 without legally required parental authorization. A higher minimum age may apply in some countries. If you believe a child provided personal information without valid permission, contact admin@mingolive.com so we can investigate and take appropriate action.

13. External Links

Mingolive may link to websites or services we do not control. This Policy does not govern their independent practices. Review the privacy policy of a third-party service before providing information to it.

14. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Policy to reflect changes in the Service, providers, laws, or platform requirements. We will update the effective date and provide additional notice of material changes where required. Your continued use after an update takes effect is subject to applicable consent requirements.
