San Francisco 49ers fans have plenty to be excited about in 2024.Coming off another near mi s at a Super Bowl win, the 49ers will once again have one of the most talented rosters in the National Football League, on both sides of the ball. Plus, they managed to stave off any extension negotiations leaking over DeMarre Carroll Jersey into the regular season. With a team that looks a lot like the one that nearly won it all last year, with some notable defensive players returning from injuries, the 49ers could very well avenge their defeat to the Kansas City Chiefs last season. But, as always, there are reasons to remain skeptical. One insider laid out his "biggest concern" for the 2024 49ers on Tuesday. And no, it has nothing to do anymore with Brandon Aiyuk's or Trent Williams' contract.49ers beat reporter David Lombardi of The Athletic said that the center position is facing San Francisco heading into the new season."The 49ers have already seen i sues at this position help derail a season in 2020 when injuries forced them to their fourth-string option at center," Lombardi said. "StarterJake Brendelhas been managing knee tendinitis, and the only other lineman with considerable NFL experience at center,Jon Feliciano, is on injured reserve.""The 49ers are having to put a lot of faith into third-year manNick Zakeljas the next in line behind Brendel at a spot thats highly important to coach Kyle Shanahan as it allows the quarterback to play fast. Any trouble at this position the 49ers had i sues with low snaps in training camp can quickly destabilize the offense."For two years, 49ers quarterback Brock Purdy has been ble sed with strong offensive line play. First-team All-Pro left tackle Trent Williams sets the tone, but the rest of the starters, including Brendel, have fallen in line to keep Purdy's pocket clean. If there is any question about the health or productivity of the man snapping the ball to Purdy, that could end up adversely impacting the 49ers' season. If Brendel's injury worsens and Zakelj proves unprepared for the starting gig, San Francisco could be in a world of pain.Any little thing can be the difference between winning and losing in a league as competitive as the NFL. The 49ers just hope this little thing doesn't prove to be the difference in their season.More NFL: Dominique Wilkins Jersey
