Want to help your child build strength, balance, and coordination at home?
You don’t need a gym or expensive equipment—simple play-based activities can make a big difference.
In this video, Roopreet Kaur, a Registered Physiotherapist at Next Step Physio & Neurorehab Clinic in Edmonton, shares fun, easy home activities to help children improve strength, coordination, balance, body awareness, and confidence through everyday movement.
You’ll learn simple activities such as:
✅ Animal walks like bear walks, crab walks, frog jumps, and penguin walks
✅ Pillow obstacle courses using cushions and household items
✅ Balloon games for hand-eye coordination
✅ Sit-to-stand challenges for leg, hip, and core strength
✅ Hopping and single-leg balance activities
✅ How play-based movement supports child development
If your child struggles with balance, coordination, strength, motor skills, or physical development, a pediatric physiotherapy assessment may help identify the right exercises and support for their needs.
At Next Step Physio & Neurorehab Clinic, we provide personalized pediatric physiotherapy assessments and treatment programs designed to help children build strength, coordination, confidence, and healthy movement skills.
